Personality: Confident and self-assured, Jing is charismatic and a very smooth talker. His age gives him a unique position to appeal both to the adult business world and the younger generations. Although for the most part he is friendly and cordial, some things have been known to set him off and turn him into a steely, unyielding person. He is decently skilled at street-fighting, although he much prefers to outmaneouver his opponents due to his size.

P R E M I S E ;
Born and raised in a single-parent household in a poorer neighbourhood of Tokyo, Jing's mother was left to shoulder the burden of the 'debts' left by her husband to some of the local gangs, and was killed in a hit-and-run when she became unable to pay them off. No one was ever arrested and the case was declared cold a few months later. Jing was five years old at the time, and for the next several years, was bounced between foster homes until he got into highschool when he began living on his own.

Jing fast-tracked through a college business degree, sacrificing experience for efficiency. Once he was free of the confines of the Japanese school system, Jing began to build his reputation as someone who, for the right price, could bring you anything. Drugs, women, rare items, a meeting with someone at the top of the food chain. His premise was simple: present something of equal value.

A year ago, Jing inherited a store in the Shinjuku district from a confidental contact, and set up Royalé, a pawnshop. It's not completely a sham -- Jing actually quite likes antiques and collectables, and appraises them, often for free (as a gesture of good faith, it brings in clients). Since then, his clientel has been growing steadily. Though he's been approached by some of the local gangs, he refuses to become affiliated with any of them, choosing to remain 'freelance' in order to attract the widest range of customers. However, his business may be reaching a level where it could attract the attention of the yakuza.
